beta blockers

I have had heart arrhythmias for a year or two but yesterdsy was pretty scary. My heart started racing. I grabbed my BP monitor. BP was normal but with 140 bpm I felt like I was going to faint. I rushed to the doctor. ECG didn't show anything to worry about but doc has put me on beta blockers...

anyone here on beta blockers? I take Bisoprolol for arrhytmias and one of the sides is that it kills anxiety .... Some people say that they work better than ssri's.
