Alright everybody I have a question on how important Amino Acids are especially for someone like me that wants to bulk. I just met an old school bodybuilder, and the guy still looks impressive !!! We talked about lifting, exercises, food, and supplements. One thing he kept telling me was to drop the amino acids from my shakes. His knowledge behind it was that for big guys aminos helps them cut weight and get more definition, but for us smaller guys it just stunts us from gaining bulk to our frames. Now I've always read that aminos are essential to a lifters diet, now I don't know so much from listening to him. I mean we're gonna eat aminos in our diet regardless but maybe I should not intentionally add it in my drinks??? What are ya thoughts, ideas, advice !!!

I never add Aminos to anything! I get enough Aminos with the proteins I take. Why do you feel the need to supplement your supplements....with supplements??

I feel u TS, I think for the next few weeks I'll leave it out my shakes to see what happens !!!

Waste of money in my opinion. The only time i see a need for free form amino acids is during a cut when you might do fasted cardio or weight train 5 or 6 hours after a meal

it's not gonna cause you not to gain, that's pure lunacy.
But T and Morrey are right.
Why add sups to your sups, in an extreme cut getting pure higher grade amino's besides cals in a protein shake can help greatly.
I use them to maintain protein intake between meals, but def not with protein.
