I went get a wellness test done for life insurance and here is what they tested for..

Hemoglobin a1c 5.1
Bun 16
Creatine (blood) 1
Alkaline phos. 88
Total bilirubin. 0.7
Ast (sgot). 38
Alt (sgpt). 45
Ggt/ggtp. 11
Total protein (bld). 7
Albumin (blood). 4.4
Globulin (blood). 2.6
Triglycerides 309 (flagged high)
Cholesterol. 199
Hdl cholesterol. 33 (flagged low)
LDL cholesterol. 104
Cholesterol/HDL. 6 (flagged high)
Ldl/hdl ratio 3.16
Gfr. 128

So how bad is it to have triglycerides elevated that high? Says range should be 10-140... I'm over double. What you guys recommend?

Even though your ac1 is gtg, your trigcerides could be high moreso from insulin spkies/too many processed carbs if its diet related. Even though the old school of thought is low fat diet for prevention. Regular cardio would be beneficial too, if not doing it now.

if your orals that would explain hdl being low. best way to get it back up, niacin. fish oil wouldnt hurt but niacin is the big one.

Sity if I remember correctly I was about 2 weeks into running 10iu on workout days of a 4 week run.. you think that would have a main cause of it being elevated? Plus I wasn't fasted. I had no idea they were pulling blood and drank a chocolate hulk with peanut butter 2 hours prior (smoothie king)..

It took about a month to get results in. I been off slin for about 3 weeks now. I'll prob schedule bloods again in a month just to check again. I read up on what high levels can cause and I don't want to play with them being elevated for long so I want to fix it.

I'm not doing cardio currently but will start now... and I will grab some niacin as well. I take fish oils but not consistent with it..

Not to bad might be able to bring that down with a better diet but, I have Fenofibrate that I'll give you if your worried about it

1 tip i wish to give for lowering triglycerides: lower and or cut our carbs. old skool docs will say those who eat fat will be fat but its total bull. i tested mine last month and it was below the lowest amount the machine can detect. lady told me i must be avoiding all fats and when it told her i am on keto for years she looked down and didnt say a word.

avoid insulin spikes in the body, this is key. best done by avoiding carbs

Haha yea idk if I could survive with no carbs! That would be tough as shit. What does your daily diet look like on a regular basis?
