Ghee or Clarified butter are the same as butter with the milk solids removed... works better for higher temperature cooking and taste great... it's not a healthy alternative to butter or anything like that.

i use ghee when searing meats at high temps.. less smoke and tolerates the high heat

The only butter I eat (sparingly) is goats butter.

I add it to my protein shakes and sometimes cook with it. I would not recommend it for putting on bread or muffins as it's not nearly as delicious as butter
