My dad is building me this table out of white oak

The white oak will be stained espresso or mocha and wiped off while wet so that the natural wood grain bleeds through. .
Im having a dining room table, end table, book shelf made of the oak.
And eventually a table for outside on balcony that top will be wrapped in solid copper(sheet metal) 1/8 thick so the top looks like a solid 4 inch thick piece of copper. With bench seat on each side.
I will post pics when they are done.

Very true but we are thinking long term these pieces being passed to our daughter and then toher kids...my father had a stroke and is getting old and wont be able tk do this to much longer so being able to give our daughter piefes built by hand by grand pa hopefully will mean alot to her...

My dad is also building my daughter a custom wood bed.. (not oak)
