this is a great read... i'm pretty much at a lean state... truly ripped is a whole nother ballgame

really good read Krustus. Thanks for posting that. I was just watching a video about a guy who was doing a photo shoot and he compared the ripped, photo ready look to a rare flower that blooms for one day and then dies. All the perpetration it takes to get that look and it really does not last long because like the article state, its just so fucking hard.

I was also watching a video on Hugh Jackman and his training for Wolverine. In his last movie he said he was doing a fight scene where he was shirtless and had to look super cut. He went without water for two days and when he was filming he was so weak and cramping up they had to do several takes.... It was very odd to me to realize that when guys look like absolute animals all ripped to shreds they are probably at their weakest state.

Thanks again for that man

too low bodyfat levels and we humans feel like shit. brain is foggy, immune system fucked and easy to fail, feeling tired all day long. guys and gals who are ripped are often feeling shitty all day long just to get that compliment at the gym or from the 7-11 blonde skank. 99% suffering and 1% enjoyment. best is in my opinion to be 8-10%, this is super athletic and you still have all the energy in the world. best option

I agree totally but I think pushing yourself to that limit every now and then is a good thing. Trying to live like that... No fucking way.

I stay more towards the ripped side than the lean. It's like a high wire act between the 2. One thing I have noticed is that... as you truly get ripped ...that certain food that you eat eill cause you to spill you will go from ripped to lean in a few hours. So like i said I try to stay closer to ripped than lean but never less than lean. I'm too old to loose a shitload of adipose tissue.

i'm fine w/ being lean like i am now, tbh. i'm not a professional bodybuilder and will never be stepping on a stage. i feel i look as good as i ever have right now, so that's good enough for me. not that i'm not always striving to look better, because i am, but i have to keep things in perspective too.

Shredded is down to 3 - 4% Bf and dry. Ripped is low body fat with good conditioning.

me too brother!... i'm in a pretty lean state currently and am going to try to hold it for a long while ... then see if i can get a little closer to ripped... no way i'm ever gonna be shredded
