Okay, so I have been working on two BASIC homebrews, Test Prop and Enth.
prop 100mls @ 100mg/ml enth 100mls @ 250mg/ml
37.5ml EO (subbed GSO for both carriers) 33.25ml EO (again, subbed GSO for EO)
37ml GSO 30ml GSO
3ml BA (3%) 3ml BA(3%)
15ml BB (15%) 15ml BB(15%)
That information may be irrelevant but it's a little information to help divert pointless questions anyway.
The real questions are about my brewing process - which has been painstakingly slow, and it goes like this:
1. Sterilize glass - Beakers, rods via dawn wash 350 bake 10min (this is an ad lib sterilization that has worked well so far)
2. Weigh powder - Aws scale, tared to beaker
3. add contents ba, bb
4. apply 110F heat dissolving in ba & bb then add carrier oils
5. Varying heat from 110-180F to disolve over ~10min (less if ba and bb first)
6. Blunt fill needle and 10ml syringe to draw; 18g fill needle to fill vials (which I use presterilized glass vials with silicone stops/10ml switching filter needle q2vials
7. STERILIZATION - bake in oven 350F ? Time?
My question is with the sterilization. I am not going to use a product nor supply one that is not sterilized.
I work in healthcare and have plenty of experience with cellulitis, compartment syndrome, abscesses, and more related to intramuscular/intravenous drug use.
I have found that many people bring to 100C with no degradation, ONCE dissolved, but no research on the dissolving process. I know what my data sheets say for degradation and melting point temperatures, but then were back to adding oils and solvents and IMO square one.
For example, mid brew I ran out of GSO one time and had to go to health store and buy safflower oil for a bigger batch-- I don't feel comfortable using contents not labeled sterile for Intramuscular injections. SO I have a batch of Enth made up, not baked yet -- for fear of ruining it, but not ready to use as I feel this is unsafe.
Anyone with information or questions feel free to shoot - I don't flame and I don't give a shit about being flamed. I am just another dude trying to make a living like everyone else. Thanks for any suggestions or research you can point me towards (evidence based, if possible).
