today at the gym. doing db bench press with the 100s. i heard/felt the tearing as my left shoulder went out. pain is pretty bad tonight. i've been icing it and taking 800 mg of ibuprofen at a time but it's not helping. range of motion is poor, trouble moving my arm to the side or overhead. probably gonna go to the er if it's not better in a couple of days.

damn bro watch for bruising
aleve imo much better

looks like i'll only be doing legs for awhile. 🙁

hope for best may be minor. sometimes even minor can f shit up but heals quick

Man that sucks. I feel for you.

yea, still sore this morning. gonna rest it and see how i feel. maybe head over to urgent care later.

Do you warm up your shoulders, meaning rotator cuff exercises? They are overlooked and the most injured.

Ouch. I hope that the pain will subside soon boss. Rotator cuff injuries are the worst. They take a long time to heal (at least for stubborn people like me who hate to stop working out). Try Tramadol with Ibuprofen. It helps me with the knee.

bruising is actually on the upper inner biceps it look like. maybe a bicep tendon or pec?

yes, i do. probaby not as much as i should, but i do.

I've been through this, feel free to pm me if it turns out to be a tear, I learned a few things I wouldn't do again.

The only way to know for sure if it's torn and could benefit from repair is through an MRI.

Could be a tear, could also be the stabilizers. They are often overlooked and neglected when it comes to working out. At any rate, Dowork is right, whether it's a tendon issue or muscle tear, only an MRI will tell you for sure.

i think i'm gonna go get it checked out today or tomorrow. i hate going to the doctor, but i think it's necessary this time.

i have taken things into my own hands and have added a low dose of deca and anavar to aid healing. have some bpc-157 spray on the way too. if the spray doesn't work, i'll try injecting it right into the shoulder. still gonna go get it looked at to see what's going on though

This down time (and pain) has got me thinking: i'm gonna train a lot differently when i get back to the gym. lighter weights, more reps, better form, more stretching, more cardio, more functional training/training of supportive muscles. i'm still gonna train hard but as i'm getting older, i'm gonna have to train a lot smarter than i have been. gonna forego a lot of the bench work, overhead stuff, chest dips. gonna have to find more sustainable exercises.

sounds like a smart move man. i have been doing a disheartening amount of stretching to both warm up and cool down. it is so shitty but you know what? my aches and pains are mostly gone or at the worst kept at bay... and i have serious issues with my body as you might recall- deformed joints, arthritis from years of low T coupled with sedentary living... a lot of guys will tell you stretching is a waste of time but i don't buy it really. for some guys maybe, definitely a life saver for me.

Don't forget about the effects of collagen synthesis, or lack thereof, with long term test usage.
Tendons and ligaments can't handle the extreme stresses like they did when you/we where younger.

yes supraphysiological test does this, it's worth noting that nandrolone and boldenone increase collagen synthesis. always worth running these in a test blast for this reason IMO.
