I mean I always thought it was sissy weights.

Like in a previous post 'LA FITTEST CHALLENGE' the weights posted for the event are:

TIMED EVENTS FOR MALES
squats 155 for 2 minutes
deadlifts 155 2 minutes
bench 155 for 2 minutes
burpess for 5 minutes
box jumps for 3 minutes


But, recently a friend of mine told me about some guy named Froning who is actually crushing some respectable weights.
I don't know for sure, but thought I would ask.

What kind of weights are being used in Crossfit today?

Are some Crossfit challenges now using heavier weights than others?
 
i don't think its easy or for sissies, i just think it promotes an unhealthy joint movements and is an injury prone exercise program
 
Crossfit is not the best way to get jacked ...imho... might get you more cut?...certain get you it great cardio vascular... fighter style condition...

But injuries seem common.... and I am kind of a minimalist. .. take the exercise plan and diet plan that you can do for r life...

But using g some elements of crossfit for conditioning seems like an ok idea

I used to crossfit regulaly .. but was getting injured or having long recovery times.. mind you not , I used correct form .. was just the constant reps of mid to high weights .. example as many as possible clean in 2 mins at 80 percent max.. I do incorporate some concepts in my training but not the full crossfit mentally

Also to answer the question. ...crossfit is not for sissies. . Can be really brutal... and Froning is a monster

Has op tried squatting 135 a2g non stop for 2 minutes?

Deadlifts and Olympic lifts shouldn't be done over 8-12 reps IMO.
