Jake Paul has climbed back into the headlines but for all the wrong reasons. Following the bout against the former UFC contender, Mike Perry, accusations of PED use began flying at ‘The Problem Child’. And now, one of Conor McGregor’s teammates has joined the parade and alleged Paul of using steroids.

Back in July 2024, Perry addressed Paul’s massive transformation, hinting at the possibility of PED abuse. “To put on 25 pounds, I don’t know how someone does it. I guess without a cheat code,” ‘Platinum’ said during an appearance on FightHub TV.

Now, Dillon Danis took to social media and shared a picture of the YouTuber-turned-professional boxer. However, his face was covered in what looked like acne. On X, the former Bellator FC contender jabbed Paul for steroid abuse. He wrote, “Steroids are bad kids.” But when he shared the same picture on his IG profile, he captioned, “wtf” followed by a laughing emoji.

A few months ago, Paul revealed a shocking physical transformation while in preparation for the postponed Mike Tyson fight. Paul reportedly gained 30-40lbs aiming to match Tyson’s heavyweight limit. Per a statement from his coach Shane Mosley, Paul was 230 lbs at one point but just as fast as he was at 185 lbs.

The feud between Danis and Paul is not news. So it was not surprising that the BJJ black belt chose to take a shot at Paul as soon as the pictures popped up. Now, it is important to keep in mind that these are mere allegations and there is no evidence of Paul resorting to any malpractice invloving PEDs.

However, drastic and dramatic weight gains like the one Paul underwent often raise eyebrows in the sporting world. Needless to say, the fighting community took over the comments section as soon as the pictures hit the social media platforms. Let’s see what the fight fans had to say.

Jake Paul faces severe heat as Conor McGregor’s teammate accuses him of steroid use

Most of the fight fans began with the alleged steroid use. It is not uncommon for people abusing their bodies with anabolic performance enhancers to get scabs like Paul had in the picture. Some of the fans directed it as a side effect. One fan on Instagram wrote, “Roids side affects.” Meanwhile, another fan commented, “Steroids will do that to you.”

The back and shoulders of people who use steroids for a chronic period often develop scabs. These marks are indeed the pointers that many seek to confirm steroidal abuse, even though they can develop due to various other reasons like allergies. However, the fight fans continued to allege Paul’s steroid use. One fan wrote, “The back and shoulders tell the real story.” On the other hand, a fan claimed that it was the effect of Winstrol, a common anabolic steroid containing about 2mg of stanzolol. The comment read, “Winstrol side effects. I’m sure his back ain’t much better.”

I'm gonna say he probably does. It's so common in the regular world and the sports world.
And the weight gain is something that is usually not achieved without them in a short amount of time.
I mean when you have used gear for so long like alot of us it's super easy to pick out guy and girls that are for sure on gear without ever hearing it from them.
