Josh Koscheck In At UFN 62, Condit-Alves For UFN 67
By Dana Becker on March 9, 2015
According to a pair of reports out of Brazil, Josh Koscheck will replace Ben Saunders and face Erick Silva at UFC Fight Night 62, and Carlos Condit will make his return to the Octagon vs. Thiago Alves at UFC Fight Night 67.
Koscheck was recently choked out by Jake Ellenberger, losing for the fourth straight time. His record is now 17-9, including losses to Georges St-Pierre, Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler – all former division champions.
Saunders was knocked out of the co-main event slot at UFC Fight Night 62 later this month vs. Silva (17-5) when he suffered an injury. Combate first reported the change.
As for Condit (29-8), he hasn’t fought since early last year after losing to Tyron Woodley and suffering extensive damage to his knee. The UFN 67 card is set for May, and the rumored bout was first reported by MMAFighting.com.
Neither fight announcement have been confirmed by UFC officials yet.
