what up fellas. I’ve been on the keto diet the last 8 weeks for a cut and I’m down 26 pounds. I’m still at about 22 percent bf but was maybe considering moving to a ckd diet. Really missing my carb fueled muscle pumps and would like to throw an oral in the mix of my test only cycle right now but it’d be pointless to add an oral without having any carbs. What’d you guys think? Any experience with the cyclical keto diet while dropping body fat? Thanks in advance.
 
I personally am not a big fan of the Keto diet, unless it's being used for a short term goal. But, I am working with a rather large group of people who are on a keto plan and their doing fine with it. The difference is, they are at a far higher body fat percentage then you and have quite a bit of "stores" to pull from. Aside from that, there's not a bunch I can help you with, since fat is not an ideal source of fuel for serious weight lifting. Maybe some others can chime in and offer some tips.
 
I do keto for medical reasons. ill throw a couple notes for you to keep in mind

you may already know all this but for those interested in keto it may help.

1) Drink tons of water, if you dont flush ketones routinely then your fat burning will stall and trust me time is money on keto.
2) Make sure your fats are healthy. not to say you cant enjoy bacon, sausage, steak etc but dont make it a habit. still eat clean. Proper keto is just as pricey as a "contest prep" diet.
3) Depending on your metabolism you will find your maximum carb intake. Mines around 25 or so (slow metabolism)
4)plateus on keto occur often. so cheat. not a whole day. but a meal. and make it a "clean" cheat. example: steak, sweet potato, and a salad with all the greens.
5) 16/8 fasting works as an alternative way to boost ketosis. bear in mind its very difficult to bulk on keto. some peoples genetics allow it. i have a buddy that has added 10lbs while on keto and his pumps are stupid in the gym.
