Started a few months a go, I didn't put it together, though it was low carb / fat from my contest diet. I've been taking two naps a day after eating, brain has been foggy and stimulants are like ineffective on the lethargy.

stomach is bloated and burping all day , crazy lethargy sleepiness but then up all night

cutting out gluten seems to be helping, going full gluten free tomorrow.

also ordering a Celiac Disease Comprehensive Antibody Profile from private md labs to see if its a genetic disorder or just a new allergy / intolerance

why is life such a constant battle and hurdle.. just want some consistency for a while

anyone dealing with this, living with this

since i been easing back up in calories... that wanting to nap and fogginess has been hitting me too!

now i didn't go to the levels you dipped down too... but coming out of diet mode into maintenance has not been easy.... i thought it would be a breeze after being on a calorie deficit for so long.. not the case for me! i think i felt better on less cals...lol

i really want to go keto for life. not sure if i have gluten allergy or celiac but i feel much better on keto

Gluten intolerance is a big fad now. Everybody thinks they can't eat it. A giant 1 percent of population is actually has a gluten intolerance

Getting blood work Monday , got to solve this shit and get my brain working again, chronic fatigue sets in after eating gluten items, basically pass out for an hour two times a day . Stimulants do don't work on it , bloating , just hope it's not siliacs and damaging the small intestine

Damn bro. Keep us posted.

Whatever it is, you'll overcome it and adapt.

Keep use posted on your findings I'm dealing with very similar issues. I guess I'll have to look into it further. Man this sucks

blood work has gone to the lab, probable be up to 5 days on the celiac disease antibodies testing,

no gluten today and feel better, definitely will eliminate it and keep watching

I have found a lower carb diet does make me more alert and overall feel better. Gluten is everywhere. Adding carbs increases serotonin levels overall which also makes tryptophan more available to your brain. So really a one two punch, eating protein which increases tryptophan while the serotonin makes it more available equals lethargy and sleepiness. However, serotonin is great to keep us happy.

Tyrosine on the other hand increases excitatory neurotransmitters epinephrine and noriepinephrene which is going to keep us awake.

Your brain might feel more foggy as some of the neurotransmitters are becoming slightly more bio available than they were a few weeks ago.

The gas and bloating most likely is not from the gluten at your age. If we change our diet our gastrointestinal flora adjust accordingly. It might sound silly but is very similar to changing your dogs food. If it is done very abruptly it will tend to have more GI symptoms associated with it. However, over time it does adjust. As we age out gi flora have harder time adjusting to drastic changes. Everything we eat adds some type of flora to our ever abundant bacterial load in our GI tract.

Take a probiotic like floraster along with some homemade or store bought kiefer. It will go away.

thank you, i thought this too but it's a repeatable test, i switched from a brown basmati rice that was GMO free gluten free to a generic that was cross grain, I eat it I bloat and burp for 2 hours, i use probiotics to assist but the overwhelming sleepiness is concerning, i do not get this when I eliminate the gluten, seems odd to me since i was not allergic too it 10 years ago ( apprx last skin test at allergist) nor did I display any intolerance prior to the nationals prep diet that I recall.

jshreds hypothesis it may be temporary, that would be awesome. sadly i find relief in an elimination diet so I can't dismiss the gluten. notice i get the bloat on wheat pasta, switched this week and no issues
also used gluten free oatmeal today no issues no sleepiness

I will continue to test this and after a week or so of gluten free i'll reintroduce as a challenge test something like a piece of bread and report back
also read that the celiac disease can come on at any age so i did the blood work and am awaiting results

happy to get ideas so keep posting makes me thing and adds mew tests too my challenge

I would perhaps revamp the diet all together, you need carbs and you defo need fat...good fats are essential to recomping bf and building muscle...as well are carbs.

Well that's awesome news.
Had you had an allergy test?

not for 10 years , but my Eosinophil Count was high which can indicate an allergic response . still treating the gluten as an allergy for now

Every time I start a new cycle I run into the same issues. I constantly need naps due to fatigue and fog, and I always experience a slight bloating in the stomach area. Bumping my cardio helps tremendously for the fatigue and fog, and so does a nap quite frankly. Increasing my water intake to anything above 96oz a day gets rid of the bloating and seems to drop the fog.

I know that's not where you're focusing, but that's what has helped me in the past for what it's worth.

What ever you do just be safe man. I know not to long ago you were dealing with some fairly concerning health issues before you started hitting these heavy cycles again. I just remember reading you were doing clen, t-3 mondanifil or whatever the fuck thats called. Tren cycles, cutting way down for your comp... This shit thst makes a young man think twice... All I am saying is be safe.

Thsnks, health first for sure, did blood work everything's good except liver enzymes and that's no surprise with a month of halo and 8 weeks of winny , test is now at 390 so did a shot of test e 125 mg to bump me a touch , want to stay low but function well
Kidneys where good but dealing with this new allergy ,still trying to ride myself of gluten , hard to do had Chinese food and could tell it had gluten in there
