A man has been arrested on suspicion of producing steroids after a dawn raid in Croxley Green.
Officers from the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit – a police unit dedicated to disrupting organised crime in the Eastern region of England – stormed an address in Imperial Way, off Harvey Road, on Tuesday morning.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of production of steroids and possession of criminal property after a large quantity of cash and suspected steroids were reportedly discovered.
A suspected steroid lab was also discovered in Luton and a further two people have been arrested.
All three people have been bailed pending further enquiries.
One neighbour, who asked not to be named, said: “It was a bit surreal. It is not the sort of thing you expect before the school run.
“It is very rare. You don’t see things like that very often.
“It was all done fairly quietly because at the time it was going on, there were a lot of kids going to school because there is a school just up the road.”
Hertfordshire Constabulary has confirmed the discoveries are being linked.
