Personal trainer James Blatch publicly boasted about his ability to improve the appearance of his clients but he didn't advertise one of his alleged methods - supplying them with steroids.

The body builder and personal trainer is in custody after police charged him with allegedly supplying steroids at Anytime Fitness, Kings Cross where he based his company, The Muscle Makers.

The 26-year-old from Sutherland was caught by a lengthy undercover police operation which found him allegedly selling illegal steroids at the gym.

He appeared at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday facing multiple changes of possessing and supplying illegal drugs.

Documents tendered to the court show Mr Blatch is accused of supplying testosterone, boldenone, oxymethalone, nandrolone and trenbalone between April 28 and 26 June.

He is also accused of supplying a commercial quantity, being one litre, of 4-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB).

According to the The Muscle Makers Facebook page, Mr Blatch formed his business because "he was he was tired of PT's (sic) putting out program's (sic) that focused purely on measuring athletic performance and strength rather than focusing on a clients (sic) appearance."

It goes on to say that trainers with The Muscle Makers measure and photograph their clients regularly to monitor their physique.

The line "We live and breathe our training methods and the proof is in the pudding" is accompanied by a picture of Mr Blatch as evidence.

Mr Blatch's arrest comes after officers from the Kings Cross Local Area Command formed Strike Force Fortis to tackle alleged steroid use in the area.

A police search of Mr Blatch's Sutherland home allegedly found vials of steroids as well as a large number of steroid tablets and the drug GHB.

Mr Blatch was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Central Local Court on Tuesday.
