Healthier ice cream and froyo alternatives are tricky. Fat-free options add more sugar. Sugar-free options usually add sugar alcohols which wreck your gut. So, make your own. These "pops" are high in protein, contain no added sugar, and they're good for your gut.Ingredients
- 3 scoops of vanilla or chocolate whey protein
- 2 cups plain fat-free yogurt
- Half a cup of powdered peanut butter
- Toppings of choice (nuts, berries, coconut flakes, chocolate, etc.)
Instructions
- In a big bowl, stir together the yogurt, protein powder, and powdered peanut butter.
- Using an ice cream or cookie dough scooper, drop dollops onto a pan covered in parchment paper or (ideally) a Silpat silicone mat).
- Insert ice cream sticks into each.
- Now you can have some fun. Add berries, coconut flakes, or nuts.
- Freeze for an hour or two and enjoy.
