So,
I just started to take apart the motor I my Jeep getting ready to pull and rebuild it.

Any of you on here car Enthusiasts also??

I am going 010 over on the Main and Rod bearings and having the cylinders bored 040 over. Going to do a gasket match and port and polish on the heads. Doing the heads myself, will take about 20 hours for both heads.
And then throwing a set of short headers on with true dual back to flow master super 44 series mufflers.

Its Greek to most people. My ole lady just stands there and writes labels for the wiring harness as I take wires off lol.

Women and cars just don't really mix sometimes, but I do get taken aback when I see a milf working on an old car!

I hope so!! I am getting 2 inch wheel spacers too and some rims so it got a lil better center of gravity.
And getting a 2 inch suspension lift kit for it too. And some All Terrain knobby tires.

That is what I have in my 08 Nitro and hell that SOB to be a 3.7 will pull anything...Torque out the ass and drives better than my truck, edge and sanota but nothing drives better than my Honda VTX 1800 C..LOL. Will turn on a damn dime. Not sure if you have the same body style Jeep as the Dodge Nitro came in GoPro.

It's the jeep liberty style.

you can buy a whole rebuilt motor for cheap with a 12mo warranty. Why not go that route? I’m not degrading your capabilities by any means. Just curious

The 3.7L in the 2004 Jeep Liberty is a (K) letter VIN. Which means they only built that particular motor type only for that one year only. So they erhard to come by and expensive. A used one bought as is is 900. That's the cheapest I found in a 400 mile radius.
You can take the V6 motor out of the same year dodge 1500. But all the accessories and mounting is different. I can rebuild mine for around 600 to factory specs and the motor will last me 300,000 plus mile then.

Ok gotcha I see now the used (k) vin motors are going for 1300 with 110,000 that’s crazy!

Yeah, tell me about it. Freaking ridiculous!!! But Rebuilding it is the best way to go IMO. That was I know the quality is spot on cause I did it myself.

I don’t blame you man I like to do as much work on things myself as I can. People just don’t take pride in their work anymore they half ass everything
