Running shoes

I do Asics because they offer 4E. Try not to waste time dreaming of the perfect shoe. Lace up and take off. Think later just do.

I heard good things about Brooks, Saucony and other running shoes but runners say that I'd better go to a store where they do a RS scan footscan to find the shoes that fit the way I run. Any thoughts?

Hog I just ordered a pair of 4E off Amazon after researching shoes for post foot surgery. I got the 4E as my foot is still a bit swollen but told by doc to start wearing shoes. I must admit they are really comfortable. They were only like $60 also.

Try your local bicycle or athletic store and check with the shoe dept. We have a local guy that will measure and pressure test your feet and custom fit your running shoes... it is very effective.

i need a good pair running shoes. What are you all wearing?
How far are we talking?
3miles? Whatever's cheapest.
6miles? Nike Pegasus
10 miles? Saucony ride
12+ miles? Mizuno wave

Off road? Salomon speed pro trail running shoes.

But a lot of it is trial and error. If you're running on a treadmill any running shoe will work.

How do you wear down your shoes? Pronation or supination?

You can do that, or look at the bottoms of a pair of sandals, or shoes you've worn for a while. See how it's worn down. That'll tell you how your foot lands.
