Lately I've really been slipping on the gym front. Ever since my last cycle I just can't seem to stay focused on much. I blame several factors. My gym of the last three years closed recently and not fitting in at my current spot which is a brand new anytime fitness. Also most of the guys I worked out around seemed to have vanished except for two (and they workout at a different time than me). The second factor is my back and joints have been killing me. My back has a history of hurting and then my two recent surgeries, torn bicep repair and lateral meniscus repair, both of which I don't think I've recovered well from even 6 months later. Now we are moving and about to build a new house.
Could this be the reason? or am I just being a lazy turd? Opinions welcome.

I am sliping also. I peaked for a meet and then dropped weight now my strength is down. Work has me out of town. You have to have guys that are hard core to lift with. Know they will be there and push you. If you are feeling really beat up some time off might be good.

We all have these peaks and valleys in life bro, don't be to hard on yourself. I'm just sitting on my ass recovering from surgery, I have two young kids, full time job, house, animals etc. I train as often as I can, will I reclaim my past glory? Not sure but I keep trying. You have to keep in mind that this is not your profession and can't spend every minute in the gym like we could when we were younger.

Just the one fact of building a house bro would be a HUGE focus derailment. I know all about injuries sidelining a bro, but I also know of the whole house building gig too. The thoughts of moving, financial side, deciding on plans, changing habitual daily routines, possibly changing schools, route to work, etc., Its a big move that requires serious focus. That lifting feeling will come back in a big way once you are settled The injuries are added fuel for this "feeling" because of wanting to strengthen the injured areas. The lazy turd part...maybe...lol

Its all good brother, this is a marathon not a sprint. We just have to stay steady and good things will come. If your not training as often or as hard you might need to make changes to your diet to compensate. I know i do or i pack on fat quick. Then its 2x as hard to get it off. You got this just find your spot and niche and do what you already know what to do!!!
