Muscle gains are a topic that will bring opinions from every angle, everyone has a solution to this issue. Eat more of this, and less of that. Exercise like me, not like him. You need to live this lifestyle or you can't be like me. Then you have the supp. market targeting the hard gainers, take this or drink this and get ultra, dramatic, massive, muscle pumping, vein popping, workouts, that will drastically increase muscle mass. If you believe any of that shit, well, I'm sorry. A guy looking for gains may resort to gear, which can help tremendously if used correctly. Gear is no magic potion, and when used incorrectly can produce the opposite effects . Diet, training, lifestyle, gear if you choose, which one of these when not adhered to could cause a lack of gains? Fuck if I know! I'm no expert on any of them, I only can give you advice on what works for me, and has worked for me for over 25 years. I don't pretend to know what it takes to be the Adonis or freak beast. I workout in the AM with the same 3 other bro's every day. We don't work out together unless it's for spotting purposes or something like that. Each one knows the other uses gear, so nothing is said on the matter. We have became good (gym) friends, and after an intense workout we sit for a bit and bullshit, more often than not, about diet, training, lifestyles. Keep in mind these guys range from 5'7'' to taller than me at 6'2" and are all in their forties, with me being the oldest at 50. I believe all body types are covered , what are they? (googling), ecto, endo, meso. What I'm getting at is all of us are beast gym rats who still consistently make gains, regardless of how small. We all agree on the following opinions, the gear opinions are mine alone.
1- You know the food pyramid that has been in place for years? use it! Raise or lower the servings based on your caloric needs, it does all the work for you. Plaster a poster of it (they got them) on your wall, and write all over the damn thing. Take a great multivitamin, if it says take 1 take 2 and so on. Drink 2 or 3 protein shakes ED, and a pre- workout or a cup of coffee before training. It ain't rocket science brothers.
2- Whether you train in the AM or PM make it the most intense you possibly can, if you feel you can't do this for whatever reason, DON'T GO! you're wasting your time and gain potential . Fuck the marathon training sessions, 45 min. at an intense level is a beautiful thing, Extend it to an hour or better if you are doing some cardio shit, LOL. IMPORTANT- Change up the training constantly, use everything in the gyms arsenal including bodyweight movements. I don't need to go into the specific movements for specific body parts, you know that already, keep it basic and blast from all angles. Before you even set foot in the gym, know what the fuck you are going to do! some people use logs others log it in their head. Lastly, whatever drama you have going on in your life brothers, set it aside for 1 hour a day, easier said than done, I know. I do know that when your body is working and pumping it will tell your brain to shut the fuck up! even if only for an hour.
3- Lifestyle...hell I don't know..don't drink, don't smoke, live, love, laugh, play outside, kick a cat and get a dog, that's all I got on that.
4- Gear- keep the cycles simple and relatively short (12 wks) sticking to 3 compounds at best. I believe your body will be burned out all the time trying to metabolize to many compounds at once. Proper PCT and decent time intervals between cycles.
We are all human, our body functions work the same, a healthy human muscle will grow when broke down and the proper "blocks" are in place to rebuild them. I don't need to go all biology on you, you get the point. These opinions on how to keep the muscle gains coming are based on veteran views and may or may not work for everybody, BB's and PL's will disagree with me, and so may others, but I know of four very large bro's that say different. One last thing, quality muscle gains that stay with you for life take time and effort.
