Swollen Uvula!?

Whats up EG fam? A few months back i had the same thing happening i am now. I woke up in the morning with my uvula extremely swollen. The 1st time it happened it was gone within a day, this time I woke up Monday morning and it was swollen so bad i could hardly swallow and it's still really painful. It has gone down somewhat, but not completely. I have no idea what could be causing this issue, this is why i am reaching out to you hoping someone can give me insight on this. Thank you very much for any advice.
(For anyone wondering, the uvula is the little dangly thing that hangs down in the back of your throat. I didn't know that either until recently lol.)

Sorry brother, no help here. I misread the post and thought you said your vulva was swollen; figured there may be some pics of the problem to further help diagnose the issue. 🙂
Good luck with getting it figured out.

Dust, particles, sleeping with your mouth open. The uvula is designed to trap debris so it doesnt go into your lungs or throat. It can happen, nothing to worry about unless it inhibits your breathing. Get a flashlight and see how swollen it is. If its too swollen, that is a problem but otherwise I assume you are ok. Sleep with a humidifier and won't happen, I am pretty sure. Wake up and drink some water to keep that area moist which is difficult if you sleep with your mouth open. If it is red and swollen make sure you don't have an infection. If this is an intermittent occurence that goes away after you get up most likely sleeping with your mouth open.
