I am blown away at what we allow our media to get away with. CNN just flat out changes facts now and doesn't give a shit. When they get caught, they simply "regret not posting the full statement" when in fact they flat out lie about what happens.

I really think we need to share the hell out of this clip. No matter who is elected this year for president, we need to see a major change in our media. They are the true criminals.

I can never get the damn video to embed. I'm too pissed to try and figure it out. Just click on something up there and it should work.

media has been used since dawn of technology to influence people and those who have the money and connections control the media and control the public opinion. if you really want to understand how media works i suggest reading endless and epic works of Noam Chomsky. in Uni the first book I read was Chomsky's 'Manufacture of Consent'. for easier digestion i suggest documentary called 'century of the self'.

people are very easy influenced, very very easy and media is king for this

Oh I do in fact understand that to be the case. There is however a vast difference between today's media and the media of yesteryears. Today's media has reached a point where they don't care how obvious it is that they are lying to us.

nah its nothing new. you are just alive and more aware and things seem to be blatant and 'how the fuck doesnt anybody see this what i see'. but the truth is it has always been like this. thats why i said read some stuff from Chomsky as an example. decades and decades of this stuff, actually now is the time where its least bad when compared to some other times

like that famous saying 'the world is falling apart'. but when was the last time world wasnt falling apart. nothing new here or in these specific times, far from it. if this was olympic games it would be mediocre at best

Interesting perspective. I don't agree. But I'll look at it again when I'm not so pissed.

is that true??? that is insane!

We dont allow video embeds

i think we are just more exposed to it now, with smartphones (for those that have them; i don't), cable news (for those that have cable; i don't), and the internet. (i have that!). we are constantly bombarded with news/info, if we choose to be. i think this is a real problem in today's society, a big negative. the news and social media in general is very depressing imho. we don't go outside and appreciate nature and interact face-to-face in our communities like in days gone by, and i think this (along with technology), crushes our spirits. i don't think people are as pitted against one another as the media/social media would have us believe.

I lived in Seattle for a long time. Extreme Liberalism and Political Correctness is treated like a religion there. To the point that, you are completely shunned if you aren't a socialist. And forget about being manly, gender neutrality is rampant.

I'm afraid that disease is spreading

Most media outlets do this. FOX has been caught several times splicing film of speeches to make it look like something else was said. The excuse they use is that they aren't news organization but are entertainment.

i dislike PC a lot. truth always is more important then feelings. but our society today is built on personal truths aka feelings: dumbasses usually say 'but i FEEL this or that is true' and somehow it holds up in the court of media and scrutiny. truth above all and facts above all, feelings are not even secondary on any list. the only way humans make progress is through talking, using arguments and proven facts. feelings have always led humans to war, poverty through religion and lack of human rights. but overal i see human species as pretty primitive

CNN has been caught doing the exact same thing, and far worse in fact. Their excuse is... oops, let's just move on.

We can't point at one media source as the issue. They are all complicit in this criminal behavior.
