Traffic stop nets arrest for steroids, needles
FERDINAND — A Wednesday afternoon traffic stop landed a Kentucky woman in jail for illegally possessing steroids and needles.
Police say around 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, Master Trooper Brian LaRoche stopped a black 2000 Chevrolet on the eastbound side of Interstate 64 at the 62 mile marker for speeding.
While speaking with the driver, Jennifer D. Carroll, 24, of Brandenberg, KY, LaRoche says he learned that Carroll did not have a valid driver’s license.
Police say that while continuing his investigation, LaRoche found Carroll to be in possession of 25 glass vials of anabolic steroids without a prescription and numerous hypodermic needles, both of which are Level 6 felonies.
Carroll was placed into custody without incident and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center on possession of anabolic steroids and possession of hypodermic needles charges, both Level 6 felonies.
