[font=PT Sans, sans-serif]New data from needle exchanges across the country suggests up to a million are using anabolic steroids to quickly build up muscles and boost performance in the gym or in sport.[/font]
[font=PT Sans, sans-serif]They are able to buy steroids easily online, and then quickly become addicted, endangering their long-term physical and mental health.[/font]
[font=PT Sans, sans-serif]An investigation by ITV breakfast show [font=PT Sans, sans-serif]Good Morning Britain[/font] has found that the number of intravenous steroid users at one needle exchange in South Wales increased from 269 to 2161 between 2011 and 2016.[/font]
[font=PT Sans, sans-serif]There was also a 50% rise in calls to the Welsh Drug and Alcohol helpline about steroids over the same period.[/font]
