I've been asked what a VPN is, basically it sends your internet signal encrypted to the VPN server.
All your isp sees is your connection to the VPN server, data is encrypted so they don't see data.
Next the VPN then pulls websites and other data off the net using one of the VPN IP's making you show as the VPN NOT your actual IP. These requests are what you are making but the VPN acts as a middle man. Receiving the data and forwarding it back to you fully encrypted.
So data encrypted, IP masked..
