in my experience a true change in your body is not so much about being hardcore..killing it ... as its about doing the things every single day that you need too... dull ...boring consistency... the nutrition and getting cals and macros daily are the worst... you can get some good and fun workouts but there is not much fun in weighing your food..lol...

the hardcore part is doing it consistently.... if i get in decent work outs and get my cals right for days, months, etc... my body changes.

some may be more gifted than me... and ripped and huge might come easy for them ... but ole krustus has to stick out the long ...boring road

Consistency really is the key, one thing I can only keep going for a few months than a wrench gets tossed in the mix and will screw everything for a while until I can get back to normal

I have been there brother. I have been lifting for 27 years now and I have gotten to where I wanted to be and then something happens that put me out for awhile and then I have to start all over again and right at the point it happens again and I am out again. It sucks because you sit out for 3 years due to surgeries and you watch everything go away then you get back into it and all goes great and you are finally back to where you were and another injury happens and back to square one, it is very frustrating but it is part of the game.

Thanks

The willingness to find that hour daily to exercise. . I have to get up at 4:45 .. to guarantee I get those work outs....

So working out really hard is not as important to body change as consistent good workouts....

Sticking to your nutrition. ... maybe a slip here or there.. but never totally derailed...etc

I have been in that boat too bro, I was getting up and going to the gym at 330am to get my workouts in before heading to work at 6am. It is dedication and motivation that keeps me going after all these years. For me training is a way of life and something that I do everyday, like taking a shower...its an automatic thing to do for the day.

Thanks

Great post Krustus. Your absolutely right, it is all about consistency. The way I break through the monotonous part is by embracing the grind. I do this by looking back at old pictures of myself and setting future goals. I look at other people in the gym and ask myself "Is that what you want to look like and is that how you want to train?" The easy answer is no. I do not want to look like everyone else. We do what other people simply will not or cannot. We are blessed with a drive that many people do not posses. Steroids get you better results but it is in no way a free pass. Counting cals and macros and eating more in two snacks than some eat in a day is just a means to an end. When I stall out and I think my body has not changed thats when I get out those old pictures. Also that remembering when I have a shitty workout it still brings me one step closer to where I want to be. I love this life style and like you said, some days are better than others. Also embrace the fact that we will never be satisfied with the way look. Even when you get that lean movie star body Krustus that will not be enough and thats just the way in should be my friend.

Great stuff as always Krustus.

absolutely... i have a love / hate with the lifestyle... lol... dieting always sucks!

i watch folks like misterb, jshredz ( would include Jacked...but i think he get's it easier than most...lol)... but misterb shows in his logs... that he does the life every day... CONSISTENCY!... minimize the mistakes...

Consistency is the key. It's marathon, years of grinding away. Like the other night I was getting domed up by Jinkette. She kept mixing it up, I'm like whoa girl keep the same motion. Consistency.

Married WTF is that?? Jinkette is what I call me lady friends.

Great post Krustus. Consistency is everything in this game.

One thing that i noticed from my years of this from myself and others is that consistency isn't always just suddenly Lost from one day to another, but over time.
It starts with one shitty meal, then one missed meal, then that turns to 2, 3 and eventually you can't even recognize where you fell off.
The same goes with training, one day you cut it short, missed a work out etc. Then the following week your body feels that change and wants to continue with that trend.
Life happens and this game is set up with hurdles, the key is recognize them and get back to what we know
