I have 4 haunted houses/hayrides picked out. One is 2 attractions, first the haunted house which is ok but could be better, second is the hayride which we like cause it is very elaborate and in the beginning they come out on 2 white horses dressed as headless horsemen and follow you into the start of the hayride. My wife loves horses so she instantly loves it and I like it cause it is pretty cool to see guy with no heads riding real white horses, big horses too!!
Second place has 4 attractions in one area, First is a haunted mansion and it is actually kinda scary especially the end where you go through a part that is made up of wooden pallets and you get forced to follow the path which is a dead end then a guy with a chainsaw comes out and blocks the path back. I hate chainsaws so for me that is pretty intense. Second is a haunted maze which also involves a clown with a chainsaw but you get taken to an outbuilding that is filled with fog so you cant see infront of your face and the clown goes off and gets a chainsaw and comes at you, again I hate chainsaws and worse is you cant see where he is with it and you just hear it and cant find your way out. Third is a haunted forest walk through which isn't real scary just filled with a lot of props and some people by some of them. The hayride is the last attraction and it is awesome! It comes and picks you up and is complete with a narrator that plays hip hop music as you are led to the start of the attraction then it switches to more heavy metal theme music like drowning pool, disturbed, metallica, and bands like that. Each part of the ride has its own theme accompanied by music to go with that theme. I like it a lot and is one of the best hayrides to go to here. We get the all inclusive speed pass which you get a guide to take you to the front of each attraction and wait for you to come out and takes you to the next and so forth...as many times as you like.
next place is 2 attractions and a zombie paintball area where you pay to shoot paintballs at zombies and props for points that you can redeem for things like shirts and mugs and things like that. The haunted house/barn is pretty good and confusing to navigate but we like it. The hayride again picks you up bumpin hip hop music and has a dj spinning turn tables and everyone dances on the way to the start of the ride, then the music changes to dark theme music similar to the other hayride, heavy metal type stuff. The dj becomes the narrator and over all its pretty cool and on the way out to get dropped off again is hip hop dance club music and everyone getting down. Its sweet.
The last one we are gonna hit we never went to before but it is a barn and hayride so we shall see if we can make it in time. We got the limo for 6 hours and the only real wait is in the line to purchase the speedpass/vip tickets. So we should get to all 4 but first 3 for sure. If we have time left at the end of it all to we are heading to the bar for a wind down and to chill, I don't drink at all but my wife would have a beer or two if time allows. Average cost of the attractions as vips is $110 for both of us and the limo is $400 for 6 hrs with tip included in that price. So probably around $800 total for the night. It is our favorite time of year and we save up for it and it is just one time one night a year so to us its worth it.
We still want to go out of state one year to some bad ass haunted houses like some old prisons or netherworld haunted house.
