Who goes haunted housing?

I have always loved going to haunted houses. I don't like the trailers or cheesy ones I like actual houses or farms with big hayrides and realistic looking haunted houses. There are a few by me that we go to every year that have some real good effects and are realistic looking inside and out, and a couple have awesome hayrides. We rented a limo for 6 hours next weekend to go haunted housing rock n roll style!

Who here goes to haunted houses/ hayrides?

I can't, since strokes my right side startles too easy 🙁

I love going to them, I am deathly afraid of chainsaws though. If I hear one I run like a bitch. I like cool hayrides, the ones that play music on them and have a narrator. I also like the haunted houses that look real, don't have to be so much scary or super dark but if they look all creepy and real those are the ones I like to go to. My wife and I go every year at least to 5-6 of them sometimes more if we can find good ones. We go all VIP to the front of the lines cause I hate waiting for hours in any line so I will pay the extra money to go to the front and be next in line. We got a stretched limo this year to take us around to haunted houses just cause we have always wanted to pull up and go right to the front of the line like we are cool and important!!! It all good fun.

I went to a well known old school amusement park last weekend. It flat out sucked! They gave u a ticket with 13 lil houses u had to go thru in order. U got your ticket punched as u went thru. It was pathetic! U basically walked thru a bunch of dilapidated shit with a few cheesy Halloween decorations thrown around here and there. After u went thru one "obstacle", u found yourself waiting in an even longer line to walk thru a clapped out piece of history with no lights on. There were the occasional lost imo looking staff members that grunted and howled. Basically, u walked all over the park to see what all needed renovations. I left after the fifth "line" of distastefulness. I couldn't wait behind a bunch of just turned teenage girls wearing the same hoodies with furry boots dancing to what Simon would call awful wolf noises. Yea, I must be getting old cuz that was pathetic. Not to mention the impromptu rain burst that left security kicking everybody out of what ever dry places there's were to stay out of the weather. I had my flip flops on, and was getting ready to smack some so called human beings like bitches until my date pulled the plug on what probably wouldve been an even more remembrance yet regrettable endeavor...

Flip flops for the win...

I would like to thank under armor for making such a comfortable flip flop that is g2g when shit gets real...

I went to some amusement park a couple years ago for Halloween and the haunted attractions there were not good at all. The people dressed up walking around the park sucked too. It was not worth the money we paid to go. There aren't many good haunted houses anymore but there are some, just have to look for them and go and see for yourself. We took a few chances the last few years and went to ones that were farther out from us and we actually found a couple good haunted houses and hayrides that we now go to each year. We still venture out and go to one or two that we never went to or heard about just to see if we can find another good one. To us it is worth it cause Halloween is our favorite time of year. Our house is the best in our area, we spend thousands each year making it better than before, we have people stop and take pics and videos of our house on Halloween, we even get people that will stop their car in front of our house in the street and run up and ask to have their pic taken with us. It is really cool that people like what we do for halloween.

Ive only been to universal studios one as tuff as I am its scary lol makes you jump when actors come at you with knives and chain saws and you have a screaming gf next to you

I was thinking about checking out the mansfield prison next weekend. That place is haunted as it is. I've seen them shows on tv about that place.. should be worth it.

I love em. Me the wife and kids do them every year. Theres several real good ones in my area. But one of the best I've ever been to was in New Orleans Louisiana. Pantera puts one on called house of voodoo and it is crazy

I would love to go on a road trip one year to different states and go to some of the ones that are real haunted places like eastern state prison and places like that. I watch those shows on tv that talk about real haunted places that get turned into haunted houses for the season, that would be so cool to go to a real life haunted place like that.

Have you guys ever seen that show on tv called making monsters? Its about distortions unlimited that makes props for haunted houses and stuff like that. They make some sweet props for haunted attractions, I would like to go to some of the places that get props made by them cause they look awesome and they cost some big money to get so they must be good haunted houses.

Back in 99 I lived in san antonio tx there was this place out in the boonies that was haunted rail road tracks. Story is a school bus got hit by a train and all the st aroumd there are named after the kids that died. We use to go and there was peoe with video cameras putting baby powder on the vehicle. Your supposed to park onthe tracks and the kids push you out the way.
Every time we went it never worked we use to always go drunk and smoked out but one night we went did the baby powder thing put car in neutral and holg shit we rolled right over the tracks. We were tripping we got off and there was a bunch of little hand prints on the back of my car and a few on the sides trippy shit.

I try to go, but don't always make one every year but the have one at Six Flags New England , and I'll be goin w my girl in another week . Looks like a lot of fun !!!

I have 4 haunted houses/hayrides picked out. One is 2 attractions, first the haunted house which is ok but could be better, second is the hayride which we like cause it is very elaborate and in the beginning they come out on 2 white horses dressed as headless horsemen and follow you into the start of the hayride. My wife loves horses so she instantly loves it and I like it cause it is pretty cool to see guy with no heads riding real white horses, big horses too!!

Second place has 4 attractions in one area, First is a haunted mansion and it is actually kinda scary especially the end where you go through a part that is made up of wooden pallets and you get forced to follow the path which is a dead end then a guy with a chainsaw comes out and blocks the path back. I hate chainsaws so for me that is pretty intense. Second is a haunted maze which also involves a clown with a chainsaw but you get taken to an outbuilding that is filled with fog so you cant see infront of your face and the clown goes off and gets a chainsaw and comes at you, again I hate chainsaws and worse is you cant see where he is with it and you just hear it and cant find your way out. Third is a haunted forest walk through which isn't real scary just filled with a lot of props and some people by some of them. The hayride is the last attraction and it is awesome! It comes and picks you up and is complete with a narrator that plays hip hop music as you are led to the start of the attraction then it switches to more heavy metal theme music like drowning pool, disturbed, metallica, and bands like that. Each part of the ride has its own theme accompanied by music to go with that theme. I like it a lot and is one of the best hayrides to go to here. We get the all inclusive speed pass which you get a guide to take you to the front of each attraction and wait for you to come out and takes you to the next and so forth...as many times as you like.

next place is 2 attractions and a zombie paintball area where you pay to shoot paintballs at zombies and props for points that you can redeem for things like shirts and mugs and things like that. The haunted house/barn is pretty good and confusing to navigate but we like it. The hayride again picks you up bumpin hip hop music and has a dj spinning turn tables and everyone dances on the way to the start of the ride, then the music changes to dark theme music similar to the other hayride, heavy metal type stuff. The dj becomes the narrator and over all its pretty cool and on the way out to get dropped off again is hip hop dance club music and everyone getting down. Its sweet.

The last one we are gonna hit we never went to before but it is a barn and hayride so we shall see if we can make it in time. We got the limo for 6 hours and the only real wait is in the line to purchase the speedpass/vip tickets. So we should get to all 4 but first 3 for sure. If we have time left at the end of it all to we are heading to the bar for a wind down and to chill, I don't drink at all but my wife would have a beer or two if time allows. Average cost of the attractions as vips is $110 for both of us and the limo is $400 for 6 hrs with tip included in that price. So probably around $800 total for the night. It is our favorite time of year and we save up for it and it is just one time one night a year so to us its worth it.

We still want to go out of state one year to some bad ass haunted houses like some old prisons or netherworld haunted house.

I wish my kids were old enough to go with me to haunted houses, they are little still but one day they will get to go with us and have fun and be scared. Maybe even see dad scared for the first time, if there is a chainsaw around lol.

We went on Saturday and we had a blast. We got a limo all to ourselves and hit 3 of them. They were all cool, at 3 locations there were 7 attractions total. The first had the best hayride DJ so we tipped him $20 and I gave him the name of a song he might want to use in his mix, he downloaded it and said he is gonna put it in the beginning of the ride music. There were guys scaring everyone on the hayride running around with chainsaws jumping on and off the tractor. The second location had the best house complete with the chainsaw ending. There was a part inside where they had 2 girls in a fenced in area and one chick throwing the other girl around up against the wall and then she put her head in this box and we looked through the other side as her head got chopped off, it was pretty awesome. The third location had a house completely in 3D, it was real disorienting walking through with the glasses on and everything popping out right in front of you off the walls and scenes like your gonna run into them floating in the air. We got the special treatment for showing up in a limo, and we didn't even realize it was sweetest day either. The driver opens the door and we get out and the security escorts us to the front of the ticket lines, we even had our own personal guide at the second location that took us to each attraction and walked us to the front of the lines and waited for us at the end of each attraction to take us to which ever we wanted to go through or on next. The last location we showed up 1.5 hours after the stopped selling tickets, window closed and nobody in the booth, and the line was about half full and they came to our car and told us they will put us through the house as vips and we get to go in immediately. We had a good time and we called it our sweetest day present to us.
