I saw the infomercial for the nutribullet, dont wanna buy a junky extractor but this thing seems pretty good, thinking about grabbing one, anyone here use these to make those healthy fruit and veggie shakes or should i go for a more expensive one?

lol bit dif than i thought tread was gonna be.

I bought an expensive 1 one time, holy fuk does it take the fruit/veggies to make any juice.

Ended up breaking it 1 day and said fuk it

For one small glass of oj, sure does takes a whole lot of oranges!

I hate juicers. I like getting the fiber and gritty stuff. I just use a good quality blender and throw whole apples, carrots, etc at it.

Juicers always think they're so big and bad-ass compared to us natty guys. 🙂

^^^This. Juicers waste the fiber.

Mother-inlaw gave us a Blendtec blender. Expensive, but will chop and blend concrete into cream if you need.

They sell any kind of juice you want, What is wrong with you people. Buy it twist the top chug leave empty container in frige. Easy peasy. Pussys.

Yes, but what u gonna do when the apocalypse happens? I will know how to juice and you won't.

Do you do that as part of your diet or only occasionally?

If you really want to juice. Keep an eye out for estate sales. I go to many of them and often see older quality juicers. The best quality old school juicer is the ACME. This thing is all metal. Almost indestructible. You can buy filters for it on ebay. which make cleaning a real breeze. No more pulp cleaning. Just a little water and the thing is clean. You can pick these up for 15.00 quite frequently. Check craigslist. Also, juicing requires you to find a quality clearance isle. You don't need to have the top quality vegetables//fruits. Try apple, carrot, ginseng. Be careful with greens unless you are use to them because they will gas alot of gas cramping.

Haha I thought the exact same thing! I was thinking, isn't this a forum for juicing? Then I opened it, very clever sir, well played!

But anyways, I make a smoothie/shake every single morning, I was actually thinking about making a thread about blenders and such cause I have used quite a few different ones.

Magic bullet - garbage

GNC's equivalent of magic bullet, little less garbage but still garbage

Ninja blender 1100 - this is what I currently own, it is awesome for making salsas, dough, anything that needs to be chunky but not good for making smoothies with oats in them, doesn't even break it up

Vitamix - this is the Cadillac of blenders, liquifies EVERYTHING, my old roommate had one and I fucking loved it, they are fucking expensive but so worth it if you can drop the cash on it! Only one you will ever need for a lifetime!

If you are a cook and know about roboques or mixers these work very well to and they are so diverse, I have a little one by black and decker that I have been using to turn my oats to powder before adding it to my ninja, but if you can get a big one, big enough to make a whole smoothie then your in business, plus you can use it to make a billion other things

If anyone wants recipes and all that I wrote an entire paper in one of my dietetics classes on quick breakfasts and my main touching point was smoothies/shakes, the importance of breakfast, etc... My degree is in dietetics with an emphasis in sports health, training and injury recovery, hoping to get hired onto a college sports program, Nebraska will be my dream to of courses! But I am going to apply to a ton of colleges and start at the bottom if I have to.

^^great info!! I'm in the market for a new blender. Was looking at the ninja or bullet. Looks like vitamix is the way to go. Think I saw them at SAMs club.

Yea I shop at Costco and there is always a guy giving a class on them, has the mic on and everything, kind of funny, I think a DVD would be easier but I guess people flock better when there is human interaction. Costco or SAMs is prob the cheapest place to get it that day, online will always be a bit cheaper if you can wait, but if your like me sometimes instant gratification is nice.

I was super excited to get my ninja cause I saw all the commercials and stuff on them, then I got home and made my first shake thinking it would be all smooth but a major disappointment, I still like it though for cooking and my wife loves it for baking, it comes with all sorts of attachments. But if you like a full liquid drink the vitamix is the best hands down!

Don't waste your time with those bullets, I went through the magic bullet and the GNC bullet in less than 6 months, burnt out the motors.

Roommate had a good Kitchen Aid blender before the vitamix and we reached the container threads and instead of him buying a new container he bought the vitamix, I'm not complaining cause it blew my mind on how awesome it was but kind of impractical, could have sold the unit!
