On BBC. One there are shows like Eat well for less and Shop well for less. It has been proven that we could spare a lot of money by buying supermarket brands and also by NOT buying food in bulk for example because we end up throwing out a lot of it. Tons of veggies and fruit end up in the trash every month. People buy and then let it rotten in the fridge or the cupboard ....I grocery shop weekly for my son and I . Some of the food does spill over to the next week so that's good .
But this week I spent $86 , not including misc items like shampoo, toothpaste, that sort of stuff.
But if I see specials , I'll buy them, mostly bulk specials. That's what helps into the food spilling over for the next week .
Every week I'll spend a different amount tho.
Oh and they say to avoid convenience stores (far too expensive) and take away foods (it is much cheaper to prepare the same dish yourself).Good point !!
It has happened to
Me , where some food will spoil, but not much . I try to eat lol the food I buy . And Yes , I will shop
The store brand a lot often .
