I just had a great deadlift, and haven't posted my numbers in about a year, so here goes.

Deadlift 495x3
Military Pushpress 245x3
Squats 405x5
Bench 280x3, (on different day) 300x1 + immediate dropset to 225x10

As some of you Bro.s know, I had some health issues about 10 years ago and just started training again about 3 years ago.
When I first started this trek again, I had lost so much strength that I could barely squat 225x1 and bench 140x1(with GREAT pain!!!). Now I bench without pain!!! AMEN!!!!!!!
So, I'm pleased with this progress.

Those are very respectful lifts bro. Well done. Glad to see progress on the board.
What's the new goals?

Thanks Jshredz!!!!!!!

My goals are:

Deads 600
Clean and Press 300
Squats 500
Bench 400

I guess I'm about 50lbs away from 3, but 100lbs away from my bench goal.
Was having a ton of pain with the bench(when I started back about 3 yrs ago), but now that's gone I'll make more progress on it(God willing).

Good luck. Those are attainable goals. Just stay healthy and avoid getting injured trying to get there. Your body will tell you so listen to it

Huge progress!!!!!! Way to go Zombie.... Like Jshredz said, steady and safe, and you'll get there in no time. 😉

Good Job ZS. Im also early 40s. Its alot harder now. Years of wear and tear, old injurys. Im not near what I was but I love the game.

I can bench 315 by myself for 3 perfect pause reps. I do this for about four sets then back off on weight for reps.

I can do 335 with spot. I would like to get stronger on bench but I guess I need to change out my routine

Again, from you that means alot. I know you've been lifting heavy for along time too.

40yrs old definitely makes things harder.
My knees and shoulders occasionally bother me, but thankfully it has been a lot less over the last 6 months.
And my overall athleticism has definitely gone down hill the past few years, but I am training for that again, and am seeing improvement again.
After 40, it's like things aren't automatic anymore, you actually have to work on them. 😡

But, thank The Lord that my health issues are for the most part in the rear view mirror. 8)

ive been slacking. I havent squatted or deadlifted in a few weeks. I am almost at that 4 plate mark on bench though!!

Age is only a number brother.Im almost 60 and I refuse to let father time kick my ass.Sure things get harder but you just have to always change how you lift to accommodate the change in age.Train smart and make healthy lifestyle choices and you'll be fine brother.

CB1, you should try something call Nopalae.

It is absolutely incredible for pain and inflamation.
Brother, give it a try and I'm sure it will help with the those years of wear and tear and old injuries.

I usually drink about 6-8 oz per day. And it makes a HUGE difference for me. And post workout it REALLY helps my recovery.

You can buy it online from distributors, but you probably will get the best deal on Ebay or Amazon.

Please, give it a shot. 8) 8) 8)

Yesterday I hit 315lbx1 followed by immediate dropset 225x12
AMEN!!!

This is a milestone for me. It's been 10 years since I could do 315(was for reps back then), coming back from illness.
Thank the LORD!!!
