My recent lifts

awesome, love seeing use guys past 40 rocking it and keeping the bodys going

Thanks misterB!!!

Your physique looks awesome. I think you'll win.

I think if I ever got the discipline to get cut, my physique would look maybe similar to yours, except for your bi's.
Your bi's are friggin sick Brother!!! They look like chiseled boulders!!!

Godspeed!!!

Last night's deadlift was 500x5
I haven't hit that in 10 years, so I'm stoked!!!!!!!

The first 3 reps were consecutive, the 4th rep was after about 25 seconds rest, and the 5th was after about 55-60 secs rest.

Question I have is do you count it as 5 reps, or 4+1, or 3+1+1?
I count it as 1 set, but is that an accurate assessment? ???

I was super tired last night and actually just wanted to get 1 rep of 405lb on squats, just to feel like I accomplished something.

But as I started, something just clicked and I kept going and ended up with 405x7!!!
That is a personal best as of the last 10yrs, so I'm stoked!!!

Anyone else ever experience this?
You're just so tired that you don't really think that it will do much good to workout, but then you end up with a PR.

I've seen it over the years, and what usually happens is that I get sick, like a stomach bug or the flu, the next day.
Like, maybe because my body is already gearing up for the illness, but I happen to use the extra energy for a PR, and then get sick.
idk

I feel fine today, but I'll definitely be on the lookout today and tomorrow, to try to prevent an illness!!!

What is your bodyweight and what class do you compete?

My bodyweight is 203lb give or take a pound.

I don't compete officially, but I'm always competing with myself and trying to add weight or reps or both. 😉
(Plus I'm over 40yrs old.)
