i've not done a true cut in years.... just started 2 weeks or a little more. track cals with myfitnesspal.. weighing food, etc... and i feel like i see changes. but scale weight hasn't moved 1oz!

i cut back around 300-500 cals a day... i am hungry a lot.. so i feel i've got a decent deficit.

i know a lot say don't go by the scale, but i would really feel better with some concrete proof of progress. not just i think i look leaner etc.

my question is ... do any of you have similar experience? is this normal? should i up the deficit? or just wait and see?

What all has changed? Are you taking in more water than usual? What is your sodium and potassium intake at? Did you change your diet rapidly? Like went from not having any sort of diet plan to a dramatic change? All these things come it to play....

also have your doses increased or have you switched to more powerful aas? Also has your daily activity changed- up, down or the same?

If your doing as you say (assuming no changes in lifestyle, but gear) I'm sure your getting some great nutrient repartitioning and getting leaner and adding muscle.. If not already doing so, I'd take progress photos same time, same lighting every week or two for a better assessment of progress.

It mat depend on what you are taking bro,I stayed 225 and leaned out to the point my paints just fell to the ground while still buttoned. The situation I had was that I was running tren and test ,been awhile so not sure what else I had in the mix as far as aas but yes I have done it.

diet is cals 2600.... carbs 45% protein 30% fat 25%.... have been pretty damn close on all those everyday.

i would have thought the scale would have moved a little (1 lb or at least a half!).... my activity level is probably a little higher than before ( slightly more cardio...mostly walking)

i have been taking in a lot more water...maybe thats whats going on?

on trt only right now... still recovering from the pec tear.... so it can't be gear

I've heard of other people experiencing the same thing Thor mentioned. Whereas you would lose bodyfat but lean up and the scale doesn't show a difference but your clothing does.

Keep in mind 1Lb of fat weighs the same as 1Lb of muscle. You may be converting weight from fat to muscle but not noticing the effects. Generally when we look at ourselves in the mirror every day it's hard to notice the small subtle changes but those changes are apparent to everyone else but us. Only when we look at photos of our old self do we see the massive changes.

Keep up the good work bro, the scale doesn't mean shit. It's about how you feel about yourself.

Ok even though total calories is important. Where those calories come from and the timing is also important.
What was your breakdown of fat and carbs before this? Your body might be more efficient at using either of these.
Some people react to low carbs others to low fat.
Also how many hours do you sleep and how many rest days do you have from the gym?

jshredz.. macros before had more fat cals... and i sleep 8 hrs a night usually.

workout 4-6 days a week ... right now on a upper / lower split.

would guess my starting bodyfat around 15%... maybe a tad lower? ...not ripped but can see some abs andsome striation in a few muscles.

So there's your answer my friend. Your losing bf% from the decreased dietery fat intake but maintaining muscle mass and increase glycogen volume from the uptake of Carbs, water and protein. Which in terms is showing vertu little change on the scale.
Once you start dropping a few more % in bf and body normalize you will see a weight drop on the scale

i think you are right shredz... i do look different in only 2 weeks... so i feel like that may be what's happeneing.

if not i will have to adjust again

Give it another week or so to balance like shredz said, after that if it's still saying the same you may be more on the maintenance side of kcals and need to drop another 100. I work a more sedentary job than I did last time i began prep and therefore found I had to start my diet at 600-800 cals less than I did last year. I was hovering 235 lbs off-season and decently lean and had to start diet just under 2900 kcals to see scale changes, my job is in sales so very little physical activity whereas last time I began between 3500-3700 and was losing but was working an extremely physical job

Anyone ever used this site before?... worth a shot to help pinpoint needed calories even tighter than you figured out 2 weeks ago

update!!... suddenly down 2lbs this morning...lol... maybe just water and not permanent but its the first timne i had the scale show a different weight in weeks.

so a little over 2 weeks in and if this 2lbs is real loss then i'm really on track....

That's great krustus. It's probably not water weight but pure determination to lose a few body fat %. Keep up the dedication.

When I weigh myself I have a routine. I take a #1, #2 and get completely naked for my weight.

this is a pic from last night... the pec looks normal unflexed. and too much man boob there to see the damage right now anyway. but this is my current condition... hoping this cut works and i get ripped.

thinking about starting a mild cut cycle...NPP, epistane, masteron?.. not sure considering how recent my pec tear was?
