thats awesome dude love that picture that's one for the manyleRockShawn said:Man I just had to post about this. My 5yo son has been playing coach pitch baseball for 2 years now with some of his buddies and I've been the Head Coach/Manager. This Fall Ball season we had to rebuild the team, 6 new players 3 of whom were 4yo at the start of the season and all fresh out of teeball. We knew it was gonna be a tough season and we had our work cut out for us.
Well, Last night we won the end of season tournament!! About the most proud moment I've had in a while. Our kids played their hearts out against a really good team. 15 to 13 final score and below captures alot of the emotion that there was.
Paul I can't even look at that pic without all the emotions coming back. I know its 6u baseball, but it was a huge team effort and so much fun. Also the comments my wife made on fb about the pic really got me teared up. She and I have been through a lot. I was super selfish for a long time with my physique training. Lucky for me I got that all turned around and make sure I put family first. When she says she's proud of me, it means a ton.Paulrockr said:thats awesome dude love that picture that's one for the manyle

Won the state championship as 11 year olds and had all but one kid that played for me start highschool baseball. Son was a 4 year starter and went to college to play ball.
Keep it fun for him and it will be something that he will remember for the rest of his life!!!

Any time brother! I've been through it all and would coach with ya in a heartbeat if we weren't 4 hours away.RockShawn said:Brother, fun is the name of the game. All these kids had a blast and so did I. We left the ballpark with a smile win or lose (lost 3 reg seasons) I absolutely love it.
May need to hit you up for coaching advise 😉
Oh hell. The moms are the worst. I love it when they move up to coach pitch and the mom is always the one that says "I don't know what happened, he could hit before t-ball" that's because t-ball coaches typically don't know crap about real tee work.sportsfreak said:Any time brother! I have no advise for the t-ball moms, they're a beast all on their own. Haha

sportsfreak said:My boys did tee work all the way through prep ball and it showed on the field. The state championship game, we hit 11 home runs with my boy having 3 of those himself. Coach walked him on his 4th at bat and apologized saying he had never walked a kid in 11yo ball but couldn't risk him hitting another one. Pretty proud moment for dad.
If you learn nothing else from the moms, know this, their son is the best on the field, should be playing short stop, and hitting 4 hole! Once you figure that out, your coaching career will be much easier!! Haha
