WU

I started this thread and wasn't bitching about anything guys. I was simply asking if what I was told is correct if I do decide to use WU doea it in fact cost 15 dollars for every 50 I send. So if I spend 500 with a source that would cost me 150 to send 500 correct ? Also just wondered if guys feel safe with this procedure as I've never done it this way. I try to get one good source and stick with them. For years I just sent paypal from my account to my dudes account with the click of the mouse but those days are over he has since retired. I appreciate eg and all you guys. Was just curious about WU and how they operate that's all
Naw, we weren't seeing it as bitching. It is a topic that has come up a lot.

Go back to my post with the fee calculator. That will give you a good idea on fees. No they are not 15$ per 50$ - it is actually very safe for both parties involved. Just a little more cost and a little less convenient. But I gotta side with the vendors here. They are already taking a huge risk, we don't need to complain about a little inconvenience on our part to help ensure they get to keep the money and not get a card shut down.

BTW, I did my first PP transaction with a vendor, so far it worked great. I'm not at liberty to say who, cause I'm not sure if this is a new method or if he only offered to me this time. the Pp fee was 50 bucks but transaction was over 1000. far less than WU money in minutes.

I don't think its $15 for every $50. I think it is either a % of what is being sent or it is a flat rate for amounts up to a certain amount like say $15 for $50-$125 and $20 for $125-$180 or something along those kind of lines(those are just examples and aren't the real prices). And I think the fee is dependant upon where you send from and to also, like for example from Idaho to Mississippi for $50 might be $20 fee but from Idaho to New York for $50 might be $30 fee.

That's another thing I wanted to say and make myself clear when I say do you guys feel safe "you guys" means everyone vendors included EG as a whole I'm not just speaking about the customers. Erik you always take care of me brother don't take me wrong I have ordered from nobody but you since sarc left. Yes I meant everyone sources included.

Maybe I'm just completely ignorant to all of this, but I feel safe with cim. I'm pretty new to ordering but have had success with it so far. Mostly private deals. My question is does it pose a security risk to vendors with cim due to disclosing an addy? Or do most vendors rather have quick t/a and don't want to wait for the mail? Me personally I'm in no rush so I don't mind waiting a week or two.
I apologize if this comes off a lil out of line. Again I'm pretty green to ordering so I don't really know what's what. When I'm working, its hard for me to make it here and there in a deadline as opposed to going to the mailbox. Just curious...

Not really, used to be....we had to have an addy to send money to in the past. These are usually set up in advance and changed. Most vendors have several remailers of collectors. The money hardly ever goes straight to the vendor.

CIM can open you up to some exposure. I'm honestly more afraid of the PO losing it or delivering to the wrong address. Lol. But if you insure it, the receiver has to sign for it and really what are you insuring? You have to have documentation of the value of what you sent.

Don't get me wrong, CIM is a very valid option as long as the vendor is comfortable with the buyer and the process.

I too recently just did a paypal transaction with a vendor and IMO by far the easiest way to go! Whole thing done in a few seconds on my phone, and I can load cash into my account from green dot money packs or direct from my bank. It's a nice option.

When I use CIM I only use fedex...next day! Much safer then USPS IMO.

I tried the online and never finished because I couldn't get the no ID required box to come up. It would let me input a password for pick up but says that over $300 requires ID? Has anyone used this? It would be a great option if I could do it from home!

Everything over $300 on WU now requires id for receiver. They switched over to a new system with new rules this year.

You can only do no ID at the counter, I went through this a few years ago, can't do it online or over the phone. Pretty stupid imo

You can skip the PayPal fees completely if you select it as a gift or something, I just did my first PayPal transaction with a friend of mine and he uses PayPal all the time to buy motorcycle parts and he taught me that. I got all my money and it didn't cost him a thing.
