Its just that its not that cut and dry in humans. We arent as narrow minded as other species are. They just want to have as many fit offspring as possible. In this day and age we have to support our kids, so we dont want to have as many. But the fact remains that sexual selection is a form of natural selection. But that is different for each female. Some females like money some like big muscles, so if you have money you will do well with those particular females and if you have big muscles you will do well with the other females.

This by no means says that weak poor guys cannot have kids. They are just less likely to do so. The same goes for animals. The alpha male has the best chances but the weaker ones still reproduce
