Slowly insert the pin, and you can feel a nerve if you're getting close. A slight angle change, and keep going... all's good. There's plenty of muscle, so, as long as you insert far enough, you're sure to get a good injection.

I also noticed the video above showed them giving the shot in the upper quad. I actually do mine in the lower half. I draw a line half way up the quad from the knee, and another straight down the center of my quad, then inject in the lower outer portion in the area that has the most muscle. Looks like she injects in the upper quadrant where there's the most muscle. Maybe I should move up?
