To aspirate or not to aspirate

Yep, I was just commenting that nurses don't care and when they switch needles they leave the oil inside the throwaway pin.

For us, every drop is liquid gold.

I wasn't doggin ya Dowork. Actually on my delt injections, I draw a small bubble and the lean the pin sideways and plunge till a tiny drop comes out. the bubble stays at the plunger end of the syringe and squeezes all the oil out for me at the end. I don't do it on glute just cause I can't watch it and don't wanna accidentally pop in some air, allthough i don't think that small of an amount would hurt, i still don't wanna do it.

I draw with a 20 then suck pin clean with air from vial then replace with 23 then good to go. Your not wasting much by changing out pins.

No lip from you RS will be tolerated lol.

A doctor once told me it would take 5cc of air directly in a vein to kill you.

I aspirate on quads cuz I can use both hands - on delts and glutes, I can't aspirate effectively with one hand.

Wife has given me a few trap shots, but she is an RN and she always aspirates.

That Much!!!! 😱 Never knew it would take that amount...

Try 4.5 and report back. Video or it didn't happen.

I actually read somewhere that it was 10cc but we dont never get nowhere near that much air so with the tiny amounts we do get we are fine.

It probably is 10. But I look dumb enough to test it so he told me 5.

When i was going thru Clinicals I+II for my RN, we were taught to always aspirate.
Although i understand the rationale for aspirating, i feel it is not really necessary.
I've never bothered aspirating my own injections and have never had any issues in almost 12yrs.
Yeah, i've knicked a vein or two with test prop and it sure does give tren-like cough, but no big deal.
As long as you aren't actually allergic or suffering some sort of respiratory ailments prior to pinning, it shouldn't be a real problem.
It can be pretty tough trying to aspirate a glute shot...more likely you will break the needle off in your ass trying to do the backwards reacharound.

I've learned how to aspirate with one hand even on glutes. I know it prolly doesn't matter but since I can do it, I do.

Me too. One handed aspiration. Sounds like a self help book.

Every time I pin I think about how I probably don't need to..but then I do anyway. Also - just in case the gear is dirty (which obviously shouldnt happen with our sponsors, but shit rolls downhill sometimes) I'd rather pathogens be going into the muscle, (bad enough) and not straight into my bloodstream (even worse).

I could 1 handed with right hand, not left...

First time ever in 3 years, I drew blood in glute. Glad I aspirated yesterday, I've never hit a vein like that before. I just really didn't want 3cc of tren test and bold in my blood stream immediately. I will continue to aspirate based on this experience.

It takes less than 2 seconds to aspirate, why wouldn't you do it? Hours are spent in the gym, planning and making food, studying cycles....... The 2 seconds it takes for safety sake isn't a bad use of my time IMO.

I can always tell when I pass through or stick a vein when I put vitamins in me gerbils. Sometimes I do some times I dont.. the chances of hitting a vein just right to push all that oil in are probably pretty damn high.. But i dont see anything wrong with doing it... Sometimes I am just forget.
