What bothers me is history is not history, it has been changed slowly over time.
That movie about black house keepers that liberals used to stir up racism again was mostly a lie, I found this out after knowing and talking to older black couples that know the real truth. I am sure there were some arrogant people that treated their maids/housekeepers that way no matter what color the house keepers were but they focus on what will stir shit up. A lot of the black women that were house keepers, probably both black and white were treated more like family, my wife's Grandmother had this little black woman working for her, she was the sweetest thing, she treated us like family and her husband and kids were treated like family, they were asked to eat with us and she was given bonuses (most was before my time but even after she retired), so what I am saying is not all the shit we are being fed is true. I have researched my history and there is more to it and there is a side of it that is being hidden from us, swept away and you really have to dig for it, one example is, if you research you will find that on plantations, maybe not every one.....there were schools for the black children and they were taught by the white women. This is true history that is hidden away somewhere.
The black men that fought and died along side the white men for the South did not fight because they were forced to (they could have bailed whenever they had a chance), they fought and died right along side the white men because they knew everything was about the North wanting the Souths goods at such a low price, high terrifs etc..... the South would be at the mercy of the North and was basically being robbed and taken advantage of.
I need to start wearing my glasses and proof reading my posts...LOL
