We feel so powerless in the face of our elected 'representatives' selling our freedoms down the river that many, many people end up apathetic to the entire political process.If we were all politically aware and motivated we could change this country for the better. WE AGREE FOR ONCE. That would be the first thing i would change. Term limits for all elected individuals. Then overhaul the tax system and nationalize our prisons

What are you talkin' 'bout willis? I said the subprime mortgage loan collapse (that's what it is, not a 'housing crisis') started under Clinton, snowballed under Bush (and he possibly could've done something to help reverse it) numerous times. In the 1st place, Clinton only signed the bill into law, Congress is truly responsible. Go back and read my posts, you're the 1 jumping to conclusions, not me. I guess you have 'selective memory', huh? 😉

You were never debating with true Conservatives either, and if you knew what Conservatism truly means you'd never say blatant misstatements about Conservatism, as you have this entire thread. I ain't even mad or anything, you're just letting your biases show through here. I admit I'm conservative in my viewpoints, but I'm not a water carrier for repub's. In the purest form of political philosophy, true, classical liberalism and Conservatism are virtually the same. They've both been bastardized by pols, and now are far apart from eachother. This dosen't mean that anyone today who claims to be Conservative really is. The twisting of the meaning of words has corrupted the true gist.It's classic 'doublespeak'.
