LT's Cut Log

i have really enjoyed this log.... shows what it takes to go from looking pretty lean (in your before pic) to getting below 10%...

i always say going from 25-30% to 15% is much easier than going from below 15% to below 10%... great job

Thanks guys. It has definantly been a learning process. Some things I will use in the future but there are many adjustments I've made along the way that I will change the next go around. There's been a lot of solid guys that have helped me. I owe a lot to the people that have shared their knowledge so freely and helped me start to realize there is more than one way to do anything.

Really tough day. Tired, just felt weak. Lower carb but had enchiladas for supper. This was the first workout where I really felt like I just wanted to stop. My body is burned out. There's no way I'm building any muscle and the rower and glider where just plain grinds. Just wanted it to be over. Considering taking the rest of the week off and recovering for the upcoming week. Drank a couple diet sodas tonight just to stay awake. Taking tomorrow off for sure and try to regroup and re eveluate. Tired, hungry, and pissed. Only reason I'm writing this is to look back and see how things went. Enough bitching, the end is in sight and I am still focused. Just hit a brick wall today. Back at it tomorrow.

Well I regrouped and re-planned. I was so damn disgusted with myself when I wrote my entry last night and went to bed. I woke up this morning a little more refreshed and with a better attitude and thought "how the hell do you want to finish this". So normally today would be a very low carb cardio and ab day. I decided I would split the day in two since I had a bit of time this morning. I already did my 5000 meters on the rower and abs. Tonight I will finish up with the glider and maybe a little more ab work. Same amount of work just made it so I would not have to unload all at once. I am very determined and no doubt its a learning process. Like you said I am doing this for myself which makes it very difficult sometimes. I got to the YMCA and turned on the Rocky IV soundtrack and let it go. The rowing was not out of this world but I did well. Tomorrow is a scheduled rest day so I can make it till then. Diet is on point and the priming continues. Feel much better after making the decision to just keep crushing.

Today was much better than expected. Finished up the second half of my workout and was supprised I had a bit of energy. Did a good fast paced 3 miles on the glider and some more abs. It was a low carb day and I only took in about 40-50 grams. That will be close to the norm till Monday. I hope I get a nice rebound effect from this prime and fill back out. I'm very flat right now but veins are popping out of everywhere. I have never been in this shape in my life.

Today was all about making adjustments and digging deep. I know I would have really been disappointed had I not done a scheduled workout just because I was tired. I learned a lot about myself from even this very minor problem. 180 on the scale and looking forward to the rest of the week.

Not much to report today. Very low carbs and rest. One more light full body lifting session tomorrow and a cardio session Saturday and it's on to the final four. I have not finished laying out the diet plan for next week but it will not vary a whole lot. Simple things to add in about 3-4 hundred more cals and some added carbs. For example I will be switching out my morning slice of toast for oatmeal with protien mix. That's an extra 150 cals right there plus 40 grams more carbs. I usually have a quest bar and some beef jerky for a mid morning snack. I will add two cups skim milk and protien powder to that. Another 200 cals and 15-20 grams of carbs. You see the messed up thing is my mind wants me to go into a full on bulk and eat everything in site. That just will not do. Just those two add ons alone bring me up 350 cals. They add up very quick and the goal is just to fill back out and perhaps add a 1/2 pound of muscle in four weeks if I'm really focused and my body responds the way I hope it will. This will still be a very controlled part of the cut and something I hope to learn a lot from.

Good full body weight training session finishing with a really good cardio blast. Low carb day again but energy was still pretty high. Felt awesome at the gym once I got into it. Lifts overall were down a bit. Maybe 5 pounds or a few extra reps depending on what I was doing. I'm not surprised or dissapointed at this from the way I have been eating I'm pleased with my overall strength. Today was the last deload as it is and I won't lift again till Monday when I start to try and go a bit heavier and harder. My body is becoming a road map and I hit 179 on the YMCA scale. Even at night I look extremely lean. Diet has been 100 percent on point. It gets very tough before bed and that's when I seem to be the hungriest. Damn cereal screams my name. Two more days of low carbs and I mean low. Next two days I will be aiming at 40grams a day. Besides hungry I feel great. As I mentioned I had a killer cardio workout on the elliptical. I watched the training scenes from Rocky 3 and 4 over and over with the music on YouTube.... Fantastic!

A bit of night sweating and some half a$$ sleep but that's it for any supplement issues. I will be switching to short esters Monday to finish. I will be all done in a little over four weeks from now. It will defiantly be bitter sweet. I'm gonna crush it while it lasts and I have already exceed my expectations. This is all bonus and learning and fun.

This is just friggin awesome!! Great work to hit your goals four weeks early! Now everything you do from here on out is just betterment!!

Thanks TS. You, Rock, Wacker, Krustus all helped build my knowledge base when I first got here and looked like a wad of putty. It's because of members mentioned above (and others, including vendors) sharing their knowledge and posting that has given me the chance to scratch the surface of what this is all about. I will be learning as long as I do this.

Well this is it, the final four. I have dropped to 179 pounds of lean muscle. Not sure what my BF is at the moment but it's by far the lowest I've ever had. This whole week has been low carb and I am primed to fill back out a bit in these next few weeks. It has been very mentally challenging to say the least. I have gained a new level of respect for those who take their BF down to such extremes and I barely scratched the surface. The past two days have been rest days and I am refreshed and ready to grind out the week ahead. Of course Christmas will be a cheat day, yes I said day. I will be primed for it 😉.

Training will remain pretty much the same except I will stop doing full body workouts and go to a split between upper and lower body and seperat cardio days. I will not mix my cardio into my lifting days anymore. I will also lower the reps a bit and push a bit more weight to make the most of the added cals and carbs from the prime.

I have the rest of the cycle layed out and am now going to finish with short esters (a little trenE for stability)
till I cruise. The lay out is as follows,

Tren A 100mg EOD
Tren E 50 mg EOD (up till the last two weeks)
Test P 100 mg EOD
Mast P 100 mg EOD
Winny 75mgs ED (may drop it to 50)
T3 100 mcg ED

With a few hundred extra cals I should be able to shape up nicely and not gain much if any fat. My guess is I will not move in weight at much at all.

No current sides. I am excited to start this phase and you damn well know I am pumped to eat that bowl of oatmeal with my eggs tomorrow 🙂

the level you are getting down to ...can you keep it there or close?.. i would like to get to a lower percentage but only if i could hold it... since i don't compete..looking as good as i can year round would be the goal.

any new pics?

The level I am at Krustus would not be manageable by me year round. The gear has a bit to do with the muscle I am able to hold but the diet sucks. When I come of in a few weeks I intend to stay lean but if I stayed at this level no one would like me very much. I am always hungry and the training schedule is brutal. Someone with a good deal of discipline could do it but life is too short to stay like this year round without getting paid.

I will post some new pics soon.

Yesterday was the start of week 13. I did an impromptu re feed in the afternoon. It got ugly. That being said the night was good and diet remains in check. Did my first heavy lifting day, chest and bis and I am pretty damn sore today. It was tough to change up the routine and my body was certainly shocked. Felt great though, full of food and lifting heavy. Yesterday I went way....... Out of my macro range but I needed it.

Did legs this morning and it was brutal. First time I have done heavy legs in a while and it zapped the hell out of me. The higher carbs defiantly feel good and the few extra hundred cals. Need to keep a close eye on it though so I don't go overboard. Also did triceps with legs and a bit of abs at the end. Cardio tomorrow.

Could definitely tell I did legs yesterday. Hurt to sit down. Cardio day today and it felt good to get back to sweating up a storm. My diet has not been the greatest the last couple days. It's a cross between the extra cals and carbs and my mind telling me "it's Christmas week, let it all go!" It's been a struggle to stay on point. Today was good though and these next couple days are going to just be what they are. Christmas Eve we go to my in laws and Christmas Day is Christmas Day. Nothing but good food and fun. Not gonna try and kill myself over it. I haven't gained a pound and actually look a bit more vascular. Gonna do a heavy shoulders and back Christmas Eve and of course rest on Christmas. Need to really stay focused here and these holidays are really coming at a bad time in the cycle. Im just gonna do what I can and regroup after.

Re-tweaked my lat this morning going heavy on some rope pulls. There is no bruising yet and it did not feel as bad as last time, more of a twinge but I am not going to take any chances. I think I am going to call it a cycle. I have met my goals and this could be my bodys way of telling me its time to take it easy. Overall I am very pleased and learned a hell of lot. I dropped 15 pounds and retained a good deal of muscle. I am more than ready to ride off into the sunset lol. I am going to try and stay right around 185 (thats a comfortable weight and then in a few months lean bulk. Over all this has been one of my best cycles and I am very proud of the work I put in. Until next time guys. 🙂

come on man!!!! where's the pics.... you know what they say...pics or it didn't happen!

lol Krustus, I knew you would chime in. Maybe I will put up one more. Not much has changed from the last one. Let me see how this damn lat thing turns out. I dont' even really want to flex it. I have some ice on it here at work and I am a bit afraid to look at it later. I knew I should have waited a bit longer.... Last time it was just some slight bruising and it didn't feel as awkward when I felt it twinge.

Kick ass log LT, you have made a long journey, a little rest and de-load will do your body and mind wonders. After my last run I was attempting to jump right back in and then started getting injuries one after the other nothing major but I finally threw in the towel and gave my body some well needed rest and started cruising. No its that time again to get back on the train and run hard till April...
